Cash App aimed to demonstrate the user-friendly and effortless experience of utilizing CashApp for Bitcoin transactions. Emphasizing its role in bridging the gap between people and Bitcoin, CashApp ensures that Bitcoin becomes more relatable, instantly accessible, and universally available for seamless integration into customers’ daily routines.
Cash App wanted to use the noise and momentum around the biggest Bitcoin conference in the world to speak to the curious about the accessibility of Bitcoin. In the US, bitcoin is often seen as just an investment. However, Cash App wanted to find a way to demonstrate the utility of bitcoin beyond an investment while nodding towards the ever-changing history of money and the role it plays in people’s lives.
We created a market that utilized Bitcoin as its primary currency over traditional cash and credit. Guests were incentivized to use Cash App to purchase Bitcoin that could be traded for products within the Bitcoin Market. The Market featured 12 Market Vendors, 5 Magic City Flea vendors, 8 SMORGASBURG vendors, and performances from Waka Flocka Flame and Sango. The Market was located in the iconic Lincoln Rd. mall of South Beach Miami which captured the interests of those walking by or attending the Bitcoin Conference.
