Lionsgate invited fans to immerse themselves in the gripping world of Panem at the exclusive Special Fan Event and Premiere of "The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes" in Los Angeles.

Challenge

Lionsgate challenged us to bring The Hunger Games world to life by integrating relevant themes of the film and bringing in familiarity from the previous films, while also creating excitement to what is different in this new film to drive viewership and increase press coverage.

Insight

With the prequel unveiling a new dimension of The Hunger Games universe, our objective was to seamlessly integrate film elements while treating fans to delightful easter eggs. This strategic approach aimed to amplify excitement among existing fans and pique the interest of new ones.

 

Solution

Transforming Hollywood Blvd into an immersive fan zone, NVE created a premiere for the latest film at the iconic TCL Chinese Theater. This fan-centric experience featured interactions with stars, photo-ops at a replica of the Hunger Games Broadcast Center, and a walk through the history of the franchise with iconic costumes on display. Post- experience, attendees enjoyed complimentary snacks and a special screening with the talent to celebrate and connect the LA event with audiences nationwide.

Results

The event saw stars like Tom Blyth, Rachel Zegler, Hunter Schaefer, Viola Davis, Peter Dinklage, and others mingling with fans. Special guest Olivia Rodrigo, in collaboration with Spotify, added to the excitement. Garnering significant media attention, the event attracted outlets such as E!, Teen Vogue, Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, and more, with 32 media outlet photographers and 26 crews documenting this landmark event.
