Hondaverse at TwitchCon

Twitch

In an ongoing partnership with Twitch, Honda wanted a creative way to promote the upcoming release of their latest vehicle, the Honda Prologue, the first mass-market fully electric vehicle. Channeling the ever-growing gaming community, Honda collaborated with Twitch to create the Hondaverse, an exclusive series of Fortnite maps featuring various Honda vehicles. The vehicle, as well as the exclusive map featuring the Prologue, were unveiled at TwitchCon 2023 for gamers and visitors alike.

Challenge

Honda wanted to bring the Hondaverse to life, focusing on the push for electrification and their first-ever fully electric vehicle, the booth needed to feature design elements that took direct inspiration from their maps. The booth needed to act as both a gaming station and a source of information for those curious about the latest release.

Insight

By bringing the Prologue to life through the Fortnite map as well as within the space, visitors were able to see the level of detail and class within this new, fully electric vehicle. The Fortnite map, housed within the “All Electric City”, was directly showcased through the various LED elements within the space so that consumers felt as if they were within the map.

Solution

By creating a circular booth structure where the Prologue was centrally displayed with informational monitors surrounding both the exterior and interior of the space, all visitors were able to learn more about this release and watch as the game display came to life. Having an overhead leaderboard, visitors were encouraged to play the unreleased Fortnite map for a chance to win Honda’s reimagined Motocompacto electric scooter, also on display within the booth. In collaboration with Team Liquid, Honda’s very own E-Sports team, there were daily meet and greets where visitors were able to meet many of the faces behind the screens of their favorite games.
