Come and Say G’day Global Launch

Tourism Australia

Tourism Australia sought to create a high-impact global G’day Launch Event for key media and opinion leaders in New York to coincide with the global launch of the Come and Say G’day campaign. The event was held to elevate the film assets in a sophisticated way and invite attendees to Come and Say G’day.

Challenge

NVE was briefed to create an elevated film premiere with the goal of highlighting Tourism Australia’s new campaign film ‘Come and Say G’Day’ and ultimately inspiring travel to Australia post pandemic. The film’s main character, Ruby, was requested to be brought to life digitally throughout the event experience. And in order to remain authentic to the experience travelers would have in Australia we focused efforts on procuring and partnering with authentic Australian products and brands.

Insight

We knew that it would be extremely important to highlight brands and partners that are authentically Australian. Tourism Australia wanted guests to experience Aussie culture from the moment they stepped into the venue and throughout the evening by using captivating imagery, staying authentic to indigenous culture, and highlighting Australian talent and partners.

Solution

NVE concepted and produced an evening where ‘Come and Say G’day’ is not just a film, but an invitation to journey into the spirit of Australia. The night began with a “gold carpet” media moment and then a journey through the outback with authentic florals, greenery, food and beverage from Curtis Stone Catering and a Yidaki player. Following the film screening guests were treated to a Q+A film talent and then invited to the beautiful coastal inspired rooftop for a private performance from King Sting Ray and GFlip.
