NVE’s interactive team developed the Upgrade Arcade, which had games set up to demonstrate the features of the new Yahoo! Mail. They designed and fabricated Conquer the Chaos, an interactive, touchscreen game where guests tried to “unsubscribe” from as many illuminated e-mails as they could in the allotted time. Simply Sorted was a custom oversized Plinko game, where guests won tickets as their “incoming mail” was sorted into a designated category.
Tickets were redeemed at The Winner’s Circle with Yahoo! Shopping for prizes correlating to the Simply Sorted categories. With over 245K impressions during the 2 day activation period, The Upgrade Arcade maintained a steady engagement with existing and potential Yahoo! Mail 6 users.
