Pursuing a New Disruptor

W Hotels caters to The Disrupter — a bold and passionate cultural leader. Core to our strategic approach was identifying the Disrupter most drawn to coastal destinations around the globe. “Now Boarding” speaks to passionate surfers, who seek vibrant adventures everywhere they travel.

Solving Surfer Struggles

High airline board fees are a major challenge facing surfers. Often, they need to leave their boards behind to avoid sky-high costs. W solved this problem by reimbursing board fees for guests staying at any W Hotels coastal destination, speaking directly to surfers in a unique way.

Making It Pop

To promote and amplify the “Now Boarding” campaign, NVE conceptualized and animated a PSA for use on digital and media channels. The PSA follows a surfer’s journey to a tropical W destination, with her board in tow. An animated world of gradients and high contrast brings the style and energy of W to life.

Wide Reaching Placement

The animations provided were in both English and Spanish audio and subtitles, to allow for distribution in non-US markets. In addition, NVE created the digital assets to be used across all digital and media channels.
