20th Century Fox partnered with NVE to hype anticipation around the brand’s three upcoming premieres: Alita: Battle Angel, The Hate U Give, and The Darkest Minds. Whether through an airbrush tattoo imitating their favorite super-girl, thought-provoking captions for a mosaic of photos, or personal messages posted on a public magnet wall, each distinct activation instilled fans with the films’ powerful themes and inspirational characters.
The three experiences were custom-fabricated with materials true to their films and made to weather thousands of guests. For Alita, we designed an Iron City tattoo parlor, complete with traditional tattoo design books and realistic parlor chairs where fans could receive authentic flash tattoos just like the film’s heroine. Organic photo moments and sneak-peak content opportunities kept guests engaged while exciting them about the film.
A powerful statement within VidCon, the activation we created for The Hate U Give provided a platform for guests to express themselves freely. The interactive space was made up of four eight-foot magnetic walls and hundreds of oversized magnetic words, featuring different prompts and corresponding influencer quotes. An eye-catching installation made for millennials, The Darkest Minds lounge stood as a 20-foot high tent filled with games, charging stations, and self-empowerment photo activations.
